About me

I was born and brought up in the state of Andhra Pradesh (largely the cultural capital of Andhra Pradesh i.e, Rajahmundry) and thus strongly influenced by the coastal Andhra thought process and culture. I did my schooling in Rajamundry.

I studied B. Tech. in Chemical Engineering at Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, India. I obtained Ph. D (Doctorate Management, Fellow Program in management) from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta, India in 2002.

Presently I am working as an Associate Professor (Finance and Strategic Management area) at XLRI Jamshedpur, India. My areas of interests include Accounting Analysis, Corporate Finance, Corporate Strategy and study of Business Groups.

I have experience both in Academia as well as in Industry. Earlier I also served as a Residential Academia in many international locations, including Copenhagen, Dubai and Singapore. I have written over 12 Journal Articles, 8 Book Chapters/Series Articles and 10 books.

My research work has been supported by ABRC of London Business School and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) of India. Social Science Research Network (SSRN) has ranked me as one of the top authors in 2007 and I won the Best Young Teacher Award in 2005 by the Associate of Indian Management School (AIMS).

I have always been very fond of sharing my views and knowledge everywhere I have been. This has led me to become a professor today and I enjoy imparting my learning with the youth. Its another learning experience for me in the process, because it helps me come across more new ideas during every encounter.
